Each petal and leaf is carefully crafted down to the serrations on the rose leaf edges.

This coppery/bronze coating comprises powdered copper and bronze which is sprayed on with a special lacquer. No maintenance is required except occasional dusting (with a vacuum cleaner ideally)!
